Institutional History
CELI begins its teaching career in the city of Comodoro Rivadavia – Province of Chubut – Argentina in 1986 by training children, adolescents and adults, company employees, teachers of the public and private sector through conferences, workshops, and talks with Argentine, American, and British specialists. CELI’s faculty and staff are highly trained for developing academic and pedagogical tasks. They are a diverse and experienced group which provide a unique foundation to the institution.
Activities
- Educational programmes for the learning and development of communicative competencies in English. We certify our students’ English linguistic competence in written and oral form with the accreditation of the Ministry of Education of Chubut (Resolution 2214/94).
- In 1987, we partnered with “PACIFIC Intercultural Exchange Program” for adolescents in the United States and Australia.
- The Testing Center ISFD No. 1806 CELI, became authorized Centre No. 86513 since 2004 by Pearson United Kingdom for its Pearson Tests of English (International Exams accredited by the British Council and formally recognized by the government of the United Kingdom under the standards established by the Common European Framework of Languages).
- Leader of the National Network of Pedagogically Aligned Centres, by offering training and community counselling (free of charge ) to public and private schools of the provinces of San Juan, Rio Negro, Chubut and Santa Cruz since 1998.
- Since 2005, we have incorporated the “Au Pair” and “Holiday Work and Travel” in the USA for young adults who aspire to improve their English and increase their work experience.
- Pre-schoolers, Recreational Workshop method in English for children 4 to 5 years of age.
- Since 2012, national interaction of academic and cultural exchange programme between educational institutions, Argentine families, and foreign universities through the Language Immersion Schools model – Educational Camps and Cultural and Language Study Trips: Ireland, Scotland and England.
- “Awake Vocations Program” for children with Baking Workshops for Children in English since 2013.
- In each of our proposals, we seek the development of communicative competence in the second language at the mastery level of native-like. We consider English as the language of international communication that fosters unconstrained communication –– this premise has been the driving force of CELI ever since.
Regular English Courses
CELI offers educational programmes for the learning and development of English communicative competences for children, adolescents and adults, and tutoring lessons one-on-one. It coordinates cultural study trips, work trips and offers the option of taking international exams.
We certify our students’ English linguistic competence in written and oral form, Resolution 2214/94 Ministry of Education of Chubut.
